Why Is Parental Involvement Important?
In study after study, researchers discover how important it is for parents to be actively involved in their child's education.
Here are just some of the findings:
- When parents are involved in their children's education at home, they do better in school. And when parents are involved
in school, children go farther in school - and the schools they go to are better.
- The earlier that parent involvement begins in a child's educational process, the more powerful the effects.
- Positive results of parental involvement include improved student achievement, reduced absenteeism, improved behavior,
and restored confidence among parents in their children's schooling.

ORGANIZATION PURPOSE
The purpose of this organization is to aid in the intent of Bay School system by
parental support, direct parental involvement and fund-raising. We believe that a student is the most important person in
any school. For a student to reach his or her fullest potential they must have the support of family, faculty and staff. According
to Mrs. Ford, Elementary Principal, "it is the intent of Bay School's faculty and staff to provide a climate to meet the individual
need's of each child, it is priority of our school to create a safe and happy environment conducive to learning." We hope
to add new members so that we will be able to grow in number and expand our duties. We want to have fun while working on projects
together. It is our goal that by developing relationships with each other, with our children's teachers and other staff the
organization will become stronger.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to further promote the interests and intent of the Bay School system. We strive to
make a difference by helping the faculty and staff, educating the public and expanding our reach.
